Last night, as many of you know, we held the Liberation party to celebrate Brothers in Arms and launch Earned in Blood. It was a great experience - the venue was packed with developers, press, and fans and the excitement was tangible. We were treated to a show by the Moulin Rouge dancers, after which Randy and the Colonel took the stage.

They talked about how excited we all are to be involved in Brothers in Arms, announced an upcoming history channel special about the game, and then showed us an exciting Earned in Blood trailer - this game is going to be amazing.

The real icing on the cake, though, was a technology demo of (you guessed it) Brothers in Arms 3! We were shown unbelievable in-game renders of a tank and character model as Randy explained to us the incredible things that the Unreal 3 engine can do. Then, as if that weren't enough to get us excited, Randy showed off a video of a gameplay sequence!

check the press release page for the BiA 3 announcement; I'll be posting pictures and more info about the party as soon as I can!

Thanks to the fans that have made BiA so successful!

The disaster left in the wake of hurricane Katrina has destroyed many lives and left many more with nothing. Thousands of people are in need, and we at Gearbox are all trying to do our part - as we have done with 9/11 and the tsunami some time ago - to help our fellow men and women by donating to the Red Cross

The owners of Gearbox have donated $8,000 already, and the developers themselves have donated many thousands to aid in the relief of the victims of this disaster. In addition, Gearbox is matching donations from its employees dollar for dollar. It will take a long amount of time and a great sum of money to provide relief and aid, and we want to do as much as we can to assist.

The Gearbox Community has been doing their part, too. Member UXB has posted a great thread detailing many organizations who are accepting donations to help the victims of the hurricane. We applaud the efforts of the community to aid their fellow men and women who are suffering from this terrible disaster - we are keeping these people in our hearts and thoughts.
