2K Games and Gearbox Software announced today that Borderlands Game of the Year edition will include early access to the Duke Nukem Forever demo. We still have plenty of plans for customers of Borderlands in October following the release of Claptrap's New Robot Revolution! In October players will be able to take advantage of a free title update to all versions of the game (XB360, PS3, PC) that will add 8 more levels to the level cap and level scaling across the whole game including DLCs.
The new level cap will be 69 for General Knoxx owners, and 58 for all owners that have not purchased Knoxx. The game will also be rescaled for all end game users so they may go back to any location within the game or in any of the DLCs and take advantage of enemies that will be equivalent to the players level. Players will now have even more great opportunities hunting for loot no matter where they are in Pandora!

The latest Borderlands DLC, Claptrap's New Robot Revolution, is now available for purchase. Claptrap's New Robot Revolution is available on Xbox Live for 800 points, Playstation Network and PC/Steam for $9.99. The level cap increase, and scaling update will follow in the coming weeks. This update will be out sometime in October and will be free for all customers.

We have a true hero who walks amongst us here at Gearbox. This summer PJ Putnam,VP & General Counsel, noticed smoke/fire coming from the garage of a home. PJ yelled for bystanders to call 911 while he ran INSIDE THE HOME to make sure no one was inside. After crashing through a wooden gate to get into the home, he saved the unsuspecting family, including their newborn baby.
PJ was honored in Dallas earlier this week at City Hall by the Mayor of Dallas, Tom Leppert. We couldn't be more proud of PJ here at Gearbox and we want to thank him for being an amazing inspiration to us all as for being a true hero.
