First game I remember playing

It was on the 2600 I got for Christmas one year. Might have been River Raid, or that "27 Games in 1" target shooting game with the paddles. Wasn't Combat. Ended up having a ton of Atari games.

All-time favorite game

I can't pick just one. Shenmue 1 and 2, Space Harrier, Panzer Dragoon (all of them) Castlevania SOTN, Bushido Blade, Golden Axe, NiGHTS, The Witcher, Elder Scrolls IV, Diablo 2, The 2 D&D Arcade Games, Total Carnage, Magic Sword, Star Ocean III, Titan Quest, Phantasy Star Online, Toejam and Earl, Herzog Zwei, Dwarf Fortress, Mount&Blade, DoTA, Soldier of Fortune 2, Team Fortress 2, RA3, River Raid, Virtua Fighters 1,2,4 and 5, Soul Calibur 1. A few Final Fantasies for good measure. Oh, and Pokemon. Can I show you them?

Non-video gaming hobbies

Running a 4th Edition D&D game every other Sunday. Also played a lot of other tabletop RPGs (D&D, Hackmaster, Warcraft 3E). Board games. Swing dancing.

Bad Religion. Basil Poledouris. Machinae Supremacy. Imogen Heap. The Decemberists. Lots and lots of game soundtracks. OCRemix and thasauce.net. Directsong.com. Royksopp-- there's an umlaut over one of those o's but I've forgotten which one.

Favorite books/authors

Neal Stephenson. Chuck Palinh... Palnih... the Fight Club guy. I read a couple of his books-- Choke, Survivor. Tolkien. Robert E. Howard. I read a lot of Knights of the Dinner Table.

Favorite TV shows

Daily Show. 24 and Deadwood when I catch them on DVD. Family Guy is funny.

Favorite movies

Ronin. Conan The Barbarian. Star Wars, Empire, ROTJ. Princess Bride. The LOTR Trilogy is still awesome. The Running Man.
