Advice
Resources I would recommend for those interested in getting into game development (books, tutorials, sites, etc)
I would suggest finding a game you like that has a toolset and start making maps. The first couple maps you make will be terrible no matter how hard you try, so just get them out of your system. Show those maps to professionals so they can tell you why they are terrible, and listen to their advice. I found professionals at a game school (Guildhall), but many others find them on internet forums.
