Advice
Resources I would recommend for those interested in getting into game development (books, tutorials, sites, etc)
For programmers, there are a couple sites that have some really great tutorials. GameTutorials.com is a nice resource for beginner to intermediate level programmers. Also NeHe.GameDev.net has some really awesome tutorials. Nehe is the one that got me started.

The first game I ever played was probably Combat on the Atari. It was a blast bouncing bullets off walls and killing your opponent.
