One of my jobs here at the company is reading the mail that comes in through our publicly available contact form. Since anyone can send us mail through the form, we get some pretty awesome e-mails. Many are well-formed questions, a lot are good ol' fanmail, and others... well, others fall in the "interesting" category. I thought I'd start to share some of the best ones with you.
We get a lot of e-mails like this. All e-mails are duplicated here verbatim. Names and addresses have been removed to protect the... well, whatever they are that send me these.
One of the types of mail I get the most is the "i lost cd key give plz". Keep in mind these are actual full e-mails that people wrote (and I use that word loosely) to Gearbox.
"What Is The CD Key can tell me please then i can play please can tell me"
"i lost my product key for halo can u email me another"

"How do I install Halo Custom Edition. When I click to install it says 'Administrator privileges are required to install or uninstall Halo Custom Edition'.
If you would e-mail me how to install it I would be so grateful."
"hi can you tell me the product key I have lost mine and i find it please tell me
halos biggest fan in westen australian

"i dont have the halo product key
can i have it."
"key"
"Why do we have to have a cd it is not fair we should get to play it for free."
Yeah, it's totally stupid that I have to buy things! It's not fair that things cost money!
"when is halo 2 coming out for pc.? thanks"
People get us confused with Bungie a LOT.
"jdyujyu
zdfvbxcvb"
Sometimes spam gets through. I love the ones that have no links at all and are just spam for the sake of spam.
"how do i play on other peoples' created maps"
"i want geared motor dealer"
I want geared motor dealer, too :(
"i have an idea on a video game for you"
"i have a game idea and i wondered if you would like to know what it is please get back to me at my email"
I'm sure they're really great ideas. Thanks.
"how do i ban people... someone said to go to this site and i cant find it"
Head on over to the forums and I'll give you a live demonstration for free!
"please!..ive been looking everywhere for someinfo on when bia:hh is coming out..please can ya tell me nything?..something?..april?..may?"
"whats with the hold up release the game"
I wish I could tell these people something other than "just wait until you see an official Ubisoft announcement".
"Just wanted to let you guys know that I have been a huge fan of Brothers in Arms since Hill 30, and even before it was released. I found out about it in a tiny column in the Official Xbox Magazine and right after I read the article I couldn't stop anticipating the game. I pre-ordered it and got it the day it came out and I was not dissapointed. It was everything the reviews said it would be and more. Then Earned in Blood rolled along and became another one of my favorites. After a bunch of online games with friends and a gripping story line, I'm left anticipating the imminent Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway. Thank you, Gearbox, for making this incredible series."
It's e-mails like that that make it all worthwhile.
Well that's all for this edition of the GBX Mailbag. Stay tuned for the next issue and keep sending me those mails. If you have to.
