It's about 12:30 at night here in Leipzig. My feet are a little sore and I'm not sure I ever worked out a sleeping schedule here, but I couldn't be more excited and happy to return to Gearbox next week. We're all riding high on the excellent show we had, from showing Hell's Highway and BiA on the Wii to the first look at Borderlands. Our cab departs here at 4am to take us to the airport, so I thought I'd share a little bit more with you all before the time comes.
First, I'd like to share a video of Randy talking about the show, and particularly Borderlands, in the 2K booth. It was one of the few quiet and relatively cool areas in the whole convetion - there were over 150,000 attendees over the course of the show! The press has started to respond to Borderlands, and, well - I'll let you see for yourself. Two great previews are on TeamXbox and Gamespot - they are nearly as excited as we are about this game. It may seem incredible, but we proved to the press that we can deliver what we're talking about. Here's the video of Randy; I'll let him tell you more:
Next, some photos and a video from the Brothers in Arms demo area in the Ubisoft booth. We showed the demo to tons of European (and worldwide) press, and the response to the visual and gameplay elements of the game was overwhelming as always. Hell's Highway looks great, and at least one person every demo tells us how amazing they think it looks. The hallmarks of the series are all there - authenticity, story, and real tactical gameplay. Here are the screens released during Leipzig if you hadn't seen them yet! We also briefly demonstrated the control scheme for Brothers in Arms on the Wii, which is coming soon!
The poster printed for the booth (I want one!):

Here's Stephen showing off the Wii version of Road to Hill 30:

This video is the best part - no one knows how to rile up the press like the Colonel, and here he is doing his thing:
Friday was the longest day by far, both of our groups had demos from 10 in the morning until almost 7 in the evening. The day went by more quickly than I'd imagined it would - I ran around taking more photos in the general admission halls and running back and forth between the Ubisoft booth and the 2K booth. I've seen the Borderlands demo more times than I can count, but seeing the expressions on peoples' faces when we say "half a million weapons" never gets old. The demo didn't either, by the way - the team did an amazing job of squeezing so much about such a massive game into such a small space, and judging by the previews, the press really "got" it.
Saturday (today!) was a half-day as far as demos were concerned, so Marc , Matt , Patrick and I got to go on a little adventure to visit a friend of ours who just so happens to live near Leipzig, in a place called Ferropolis:
