This E3 was huge for Gearbox. There was a lot of excitement in our community for some new Borderlands info, and we weren't about to disappoint! We started off before the show by releasing a short teaser trailer - the first look at the new Concept Art Style in motion that anyone had seen. People took notice, and soon there were several articles responding to and spreading the video around, building the hype for the game's showing at E3. Here's a look at some of those responses:

Of course, we didn't only show that snippet to get people's attention - we also did two interviews with IGN. Randy and Brian Martel both gave in-depth interviews about the game before the show started:

Then, Monday morning, the Gearbox E3 team hopped in a plane, flew to LA, and got ready to rile up the gaming community with Borderlands. Armed with a build of the game, we found our booth (which looked awesome, photo album coming soon), set up, ran through our demo, and got ready for what would be one of our most exciting E3's yet.
Throughout the show, I updated Gearbox's twitter account with pictures and tidbits on what we were up to. For a play-by-play, check out the Gearbox Software twitter - it'll be just like you were there with us. We ran a few contests for Gearbox swag, and gave our community an inside look at our E3 experience.
It didn't take many demos before we started seeing press coming out. We created a ton of buzz - this year's E3 had us up against some pretty big games and a lot of sequels, but we managed to stand out. Usually, a game is busiest on the first day of the show, and traffic dies down after that. Not this year. Not Borderlands! Over the course of the week, we saw our crowds of press get bigger and bigger, some coming back more than once, asking for interviews and wanting more! We released some brand new screens amidst the chaos. On Thursday, the last day of the show, we were frequently standing room only. It was great to see so much interest in the game we love and have worked so hard on, and great to see the press supporting something new!
Tons of articles came out through the week with impressions from the demo.

That's not all! There were many video interviews conducted with Mike N. and Randy, who were in charge of presenting the demos throughout the week. Here are some of those that have already made their way out, and we'll probably see more interviews this week:

Borderlands got was nominated for several awards by the end of the show, from IGN and Gamingexcellence. We haven't seen all the nominations yet, but when we see those and the winners, we'll keep the community posted!
Borderlands and Gearbox had an awesome E3 this year! We're glad to welcome all the new members our community added, and can't wait to show more Borderlands to you all! I'll have a photo album up tomorrow with pictures from our booth and from the show floor.
